Student Western Art Auction
The San Antonio Livestock Exposition Inc. has established a partnership with the Briscoe Western Art Museum. Student Western Art entries will be judged in early December. The top 50 pieces of artwork will be on exhibit during the month of January at the museum. The top 25 pieces will be auctioned Thursday, Jan. 30, from 6-9 p.m.
Following the auction, the artwork will be moved to the grounds of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo to be displayed in the Expo Hall during the annual San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, Feb. 6-23. The prominence of this event will elevate the Student Western Art Contest to a new level, and the students’ exposure to the art community will be invaluable to young artists.
