ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Gary Wayne Jarratt, 58, of Adkins, Texas, passed away on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013. He was born on June 6, 1955, in San Antonio to Billy Jim and Janice Pearl Luker Jarratt. Gary was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Patty Jarratt; daughter Malissa Bell and husband Scott; son Gary W. Jarratt Jr.; daughter Amy Boerm and husband Stephen; grandson Mayson Lee Boerm; sister Claudia Ann Hyden and husband Jimmy Ray; brother Billy J. Jarratt Jr. and wife Patricia; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; many loving friends; and his pet puppy, Abby.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 4-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home.

Interment will follow in the Leesville Cemetery in Gonzales County.

Memorial contributions may be made in Gary Wayne Jarratt’s name to the ALS Association, Texas Chapter, 8600 Wurzbach Road, Ste. 700, San Antonio, TX 78240.
