Offer condolences


Gerald James O’Brien of San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, after a long battle with cancer. He was born Jan. 4, 1945, in Little Rock, Ark., to Robert and Leocadia (Pollock) O’Brien.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Thomas O’Brien.

Gerald spent his life as a carpenter, rancher, and “Jack of All Trades.” He loved fishing, hunting, building houses, raising cattle, all sports, and especially enjoyed entertaining with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Brenda (Brown) O’Brien of Universal City; his brother, Ronald O’Brien and wife Pam of Floresville; his sister, Margaret Fields and husband Ben of Floresville; three step-children; 10 step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family memorial was held to celebrate his life.
