Offer condolences


Carl W. “Mickey” Steenken Sr., 79, of Stockdale, Texas, passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2013. He was born on May 4, 1934, in Denhawken to Louis and Allie (Sells) Steenken.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Carl William Steenken Jr.

Mickey is survived by his wife, Lisa Steenken; his children, LeAnn Steenken, Lyndsi Springer and husband Eddie, James Steenken and wife Rose, and Loretta Barrington; his brother, Louis Calvin “Sonny” Steenken and wife Linny; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.

Visitation was held Thursday, Dec. 5, from 5-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Stockdale.

A funeral service was held Friday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Chaplain Tom Jones officiating.

Interment followed in the Stockdale Cemetery in Stockdale.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
