Players and coaches for the Floresville Wildcats Midget football team gather for a team photo. The Wildcats have a season record of 11-0 and have outscored opponents by a combined 330-50. The Wildcats have been working hard since early July and compete in the Texas Youth Football Association (TYFA), arguably the most competitive youth league in the state. The Wildcats have finished above 94 other midget teams in the state and will face the Cy Creek Cowboys for the state championship Saturday, Dec. 14. Team members are Mario Ramirez, Destafano Burriola, Cash Warren, Devon Mayberry, Isiah Herrera, Gabriel Silansky, Caden Faught, A.J. Vasquez, Eli Perez, Daniel Arrellano, Andre Arocha, Brandon Castillo, Exodus Acebedo, Royal Casanova, Levin Garcia, and Corbin Keen. Chez Perez is the head coach, and his assistants are Isaac Castillo, Devin Keen, David Pollok, and Jonathan Ramirez.

The Wildcats will have a pep rally Thursday night, Dec. 12, at 7:45 p.m. at the city park. The community is invited to attend and cheer on these young football players.
