ARLINGTON -- After 14 wins this season, including a thrilling 36-34 win over the Tenaha Tigers last Friday night in Waco, the Battlin’ Beavers of Falls City will make the trip to Arlington later this week to play for the Class 1A DII UIL State Football Championship.

The Beavers will line up against the unbeaten Wellington Rockets this Thursday for the final game of the season. Wellington is the District 1-1A DII champion from the Panhandle region of Texas. The Rockets knocked off Sudan, Farwell, and Seagraves en route to the Region I title, and then defeated Albany by the score of 46-20 in the state semifinal.

Falls City and Wellington will clash Thursday, Dec. 19, at 1 p.m. inside AT&T Stadium -- the home of the Dallas Cowboys. The game is scheduled for broadcast on FOX Sports Southwest.
