Immanuel Lutheran Church is now hiring for a Youth and Family Ministry Director. Pastoral: Minister to youth and their families during Sunday School and other church programs, being present in their lives outside the church walls, available for common concerns and in crisis situations. Leadership: Recruit and nurture Youth and Family Ministry program. Administration : Manage the planning process and coordinate with Pastor and Youth Committee all regular ministries to youth and their families. This includes youth of all ages on Sunday mornings and mid-week events; assisting with Confirmation, special events, trips and retreats, and parent meetings. Stewardship: Ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of youth programs, manage youth ministry budget, and collaborate with the sponsors of each Youth group. Ability to build, lead, and empower youth. Ability to implement a ministry vision. Familiarity with Lutheran Doctrine required; must be comfortable teaching it and representing Lutheran Theology. Proficient computer skills using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database, email, internet, and social media. Supervisory experience preferred. Ability to adapt and evaluate curriculum preferred. Must have excellent organization, communication (verbal and written), and listening skills, with a high degree of initiative and accountability. Exceptional interpersonal and relational skills required, with sensitivity to church members and visitors. Understanding and enjoyment of youth and families and guiding their spiritual development. 1918-2013

Clyde W. Round passed away on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, in La Vernia, Texas, at the age of 95 years, 5 months, and 15 days. He was born on June 27, 1918, in Gentry, Mo., to Floyd and Eve Winemiller Round.

He was a former resident of Colorado Springs, Colo., and a resident of Stockdale for three years. Clyde served in the U.S. Air Force in World War II and the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He was a 64-year Mason 1949-2013, Fountain Valley Lodge No. 191, Cripple Creek Lodge No. 96 past Master, Scottish Rite Pueblo Life Member, Al Kaly Shine Life Member, Colorado Springs No. 6 RAM Past High Priest, Cripple Creek No. 323 RAM Past High Priest, Zabud No. 8 Council Past Thrice Master, Pike’s Peak No. 6 KT Past Commander, Installed Sovereign Master Allied Masonic Degree, Gofannin Council No. 315 AMD, York Rite College No. 109 Southern Colorado, El Paso Actual PM Life Member, Cripple Creek Actural PM Life Member, Al Kaly PM Life Member, Pike’s Peak Nat Sojourners PCM (Life), High Twelve Club No. 513, Al Kaly Patriots Past President, Thrice III Masters Club Life Member, Past Commanders Association Life Member, Order of High Priesthood Life Member, Holy Royal Arch KT Priests Life Member, Colorado Columbine NCT, K T Eye Foundation Life Sponsor, 50-year Member OES 1950-2000, PGP Colorado OES, PGM/PGP Club, PGM/PGP Assoc. Clyde is survived by his daughter, Mona Lee Alloway and husband Roger of Stockdale; grandchildren Windy Hazzard Sanchez, Tiffany Lee Alloway, Terri Bomer and husband John, and Leroy Alloway; and great-grandchildren Kyle Eubanks, Chloe Bomer, and Trey Bomer.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
