Teachers and staff of the Stockdale Independent School District (ISD) wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

The FFA prospect show held in La Vernia was a great success. Even though it was cold, many students were able to show their animals. I even heard the food judging was superb.

Don’t forget about the Christmas concert in the gym on Thursday, Dec. 19. Hope to see you there so you can also bid on a few Band Booster silent auction items.

We would like to thank everyone involved in making the Elementary winter Wonderland a great success.

The athletic all-weather track is coming right along. Stockdale ISD is very excited about having a brand new running track for its students and the community!

Teachers of the month for December are: Rhea Rutland, elementary school; Jennifer Martin, junior high school; and Kerri Darilek, high school.

Have a warm December!

Paul Darilek is the superintendent of the Stockdale Independent School District.
