Jeff and Leona Waclawczyk of Floresville, Texas, are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Lauren Delaine, to Christopher Paul Beattie, the son of Timothy and Beth Beattie of Boalsburg, Pa.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Fabian and Mary Waclawczyk of Floresville, and the late John Wallis and Mae Jeannette Pfeil, formerly of Floresville. Lauren graduated from Poth High School in 2008 and attended Louisiana State University as a member of the volleyball team. She graduated with a degree in business management with a concentration in human resources.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Franklin and Nancy Beattie of Williamsport, Pa., Anne Hayes, also of Williamsport, and the late Gray Hayes, formerly of Williamsport.

Chris graduated from Pope John Paul II Catholic High School in Slidell, La., in 2007 and attended Louisiana State University as a member of the men’s basketball team. He graduated with a civil engineering degree.

Chris and Lauren plan to wed on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, in the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Cestohowa, Texas. After the wedding, the two will honeymoon in Jamaica and enjoy the start of their new life together!
