ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

Tyler Charles Denson has graduated from Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colo., on Dec. 13 with a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering.

Tyler is a four-year football letterman, a two-time all conference defensive player of the week, and a two-time Sports Network National Defensive Player of the Week. As a junior during the 2012 season, recording 107 tackles for the season, Tyler became a National Football Foundation - Colorado Chapter All Colorado first team linebacker selection. He ended the 2013 season as the team’s leading tackler with 103 tackles, two interceptions, and three fumble recoveries. He was also named a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference first team middle linebacker.

Tyler will begin working for Oasis Petroleum of Houston as a petroleum engineer in January 2014.

Tyler is the son of Kurt and Lisa Denson of La Vernia and Pistol and Tina Ahrens of New Braunfels. He is the grandson of Don and Marion Denson of St. Hedwig.
