Floresville High School’s December female student of the month is Emily Henke, the 18-year-old daughter of Pam and Clifton Henke.

For her efforts in the classroom, Emily has been named to the “A” Honor Roll and recognized for perfect attendance.

Emily is also a member in good standing with the National Honor Society and currently holds the office of parliamentarian. As a member of the Mighty Tiger Band, Emily served as the junior representative. As a member of the golf team, Emily was named Academic All-District. She is also a member of Family, Community, and Career Leaders of America.

Emily has helped out at Regency Manor nursing home and has participated in cemetery cleanup projects. She has also donated clothes and canned food through her involvement in 4-H.

Upon graduation in June, Emily plans to attend Texas State University, where she will major in business.

The December male student of the month is Anthony Viera, the 17-year-old son of Mario and Veronica Viera.

Anthony is a member in good standing with the National Honor Society and Business Professionals of America. He is also very active in his church, Our Lady of Angels, and has attended three ACTS retreats. Anthony has volunteered his time participating in highway cleanup projects. He has also participated in bake sales and plate sales.

Upon graduation in June, Anthony plans to attend UTSA, where he will major in business with a minor in kinesiology.
