1953-2013

Mark Stephen Smith, 60, passed away Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on Jan. 16, 1953.

Mark was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother, and faithful friend.

Mark is survived by his wife, Melissa Smith; sons Thomas Smith, Justin Specht, and Marc Brenton Smith; mother Lena Core; brothers William, Garry, Tim, and Dom Smith; sister Stacey Core; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at 1 p.m. in the Meadowlawn Tribute Center in San Antonio, with Chaplain Larry Davis to officiate.

Interment with full military honors will follow at a later date in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
