1920-2013

Juanita Salinas Flores passed away Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, in the Stockdale Resident & Rehabilitation Center in Stockdale, Texas, at the age of 93 years and 14 days. She was born Nov. 23, 1920, in Luling to Joe and Frances Sanchez Salinas. She was a lifelong resident of Pandora.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank B. Flores, Sr.; a son, Frank Flores Jr.; and a sister, Salome Barnhardt.

Juanita is survived by her son, Jake S. Flores Sr. of Pandora; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Visitation was held Thursday, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.

A funeral service was held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Sil Ornelas officiating.

Interment followed in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Pandora.

Serving as pallbearers were Jesse James Flores, J.R. Flores, David Houseton, Allford Houston, Ray Flores, Speedy Flores, and Adolph Flores.
