Elias Emil Yosko of Floresville, and a longtime resident of the Three Oaks community in Wilson County, Texas, entered eternal rest Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at 4:30 a.m. in the Connally Memorial Medical Center in Floresville at the age of 86 years, 10 months, and 20 days. Elias was born Feb. 2, 1927, in Falls City, the son of Peter and Frances Waclawczyk Yosko.

After his schooling in Falls City, Elias proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Elias worked as a farmer his entire life, and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. Elias married Julie Bell Hosek on Aug. 19, 1952, in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Poth.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael Dennis Yosko; and his brother, Ernest Yosko.

Elias is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Julie Bell Hosek Yosko of Floresville; his children, Patricia Ann Kopecki and husband Ted of the Tower Lake community, Randy Yosko and wife Eunice of Three Oaks, Bobby Yosko and wife Joyce of Floresville, Sharon Felux and husband Harry of Bentwood, Jeff Yosko and wife Brenda of Floresville, and Laurie Malik and husband John of New Braunfels; his brother, Chester Yosko and wife Lorene of Three Oaks; his 17 grandchildren; his one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, Dec. 26, at 5 p.m., followed by the recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Poth.

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. in the church, officiated by the Rev. Grzegorz Szewczyk.

Interment followed in the Blessed Sacrament Cemetery in Poth.

Serving as pallbearers were Steven Felux, Derrick Felux, Cody Felux, Wesley Yosko, Eric Yosko, Bradley Malik, and Bradley Olinick.
