Marjorie L. Gadd
Marjorie Louise Gadd passed away Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013, in La Vernia, Texas, at the age of 81 years, 11 months, and 6 days. She was born Jan. 8, 1932, in Hernando, Miss., to Grover and Gladys Busch Gadd. She was a former resident of San Antonio and a resident of La Vernia for 10 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ira Lee Stofa; brothers Junior Gadd and Earl Gadd; and a sister, Ezell Partin.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Carol Riley and husband Virgil of La Vernia; sisters Elaine Sain of Olive Branch, Miss., and Ann and Dan Partin of New Mexico; brothers Crawford Gadd of Smithville, Bobby Gadd and wife Billie Ann of Edna, and James Gadd of Smithville; grandchildren Shawntel McCune, Russell McCune, and Bangie Wilson; great-grandchildren Jared, Deonte, Damien, Jaycee, Jazmine, and Daryl; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Visitation was held Thursday, Dec. 26, at 6 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.
A funeral service was held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Tony Perez officiating.
Interment followed in the Kicaster Cemetery in La Vernia.
Serving as pallbearers were Russell McCune, Deonte Wilson, Brian Gadd, Bobby Gadd, Crawford Gadd, and Matt Riley.
