KIRBY -- Kick off 2014 with a night of body slams and leg drops as River City Wrestling (RCW) presents “New Year’s Evolution 5” on Saturday, Jan. 4, at 8 p.m. at The Turner Club.

In the main event, Alissa Flash will defend her RCW Angels Championship against Chik Tormenta. Flash, also known as the “Female Terminator,” was recently ranked by Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine as the top female wrestler in the world, including organizations such as World Wrestling Entertainment. Tormenta, on the other hand, is the future of women’s wrestling -- a tough and gritty luchadora that will push Flash to the limit.

In addition, Ring King Christian Valenz will put his RCW Championship on the line against RCW Tag Team Champion “The Samoan Beast” Michael Faith. There will be nowhere for Valenz to run or hide when he has to face Faith one-on-one.

There will also be Champion versus Champion, Title for Title, “Last Man Standing” match between International Champion “The Best Ever” Sammy Guevara and RCW Phoenix Champion “Centerfold” Matthew Palmer. Guevara and Palmer have had a series of intense grueling matches against each other, but Jan. 4 will be their final encounter.

Others in action will be TNA superstar & RCW Tag Team Champion “The Super-Mex” Hernandez, “Main Event” Mike Foxx, The Hardbodies, Honkey Kong, and more.

The Turner Club is located at 5555 Duffek Drive in Kirby. The doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the action begins at 8 p.m. The event is family-friendly and all ages can attend. Tickets are $15 for front row seats, $12 for general admission, and $10 for children and military. Tickets are available online at,, and until 2 p.m. the day of the event. After that, tickets may be purchased at the door.
