Palo Alto offers registration help
Alamo Colleges-Palo Alto College will host its third Countdown to College event on Wednesday, Jan. 8, to encourage individuals to attend classes in spring 2014. College staff and faculty will be available from 8 a.m. to midnight in the campus Performing Arts Center to help students complete the steps necessary for enrollment. The campus is located at 1400 W. Villaret Blvd. at I-410 and S.H. 16 in San Antonio.
Interested individuals will be able to complete applications, take placement tests, meet with an academic advisor, get financial aid information, and pay tuition for spring semester. H-E-B will be on-site from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. providing bacterial meningitis shots. Games, prizes, music, and refreshments will be available, with a special viewing of the San Antonio Spurs game against the Dallas Mavericks at 6 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center Auditorium.
Classes for the spring 2014 16-week semester begin on Tuesday, Jan. 21. To be eligible, students must have completed the application at www.applytexas.org by Dec. 31. Individuals who complete an application at Countdown to College will be able to register for the Start Two 14-week session that begins on Feb. 3.
