Evelyn ‘Cissy’ Kallies

Evelyn “Cissy” Kallies, 81, of La Vernia, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014. She was born on April 23, 1932, in San Antonio to Howarth H. and Lillian (Irvin) Summers.

Cissy was preceded in death by her parents; and her daughter, Deborah West.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Kallies Sr.; sons Victor Graham, Edgar Graham, and Carl Kallies Jr.; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and many loving friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, Jan. 4, from 5-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

A funeral service was held on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Keith Johanson officiating.

Private interment will be held in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
