The Greater La Vernia Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at noon in the Blue Bird Café at 9356 U.S. 87 W. between La Vernia and Sutherland Springs.
The public is invited to attend and listen to guest speaker Sean Alvarez, GVEC’s senior executive manager and chief operating officer, provide information about his company’s “Fiber to Home” program.
No reservations are required, but attendees are encouraged to purchase a meal. Members are reminded to take their business cards for the drawing for Spotlight Member of the Month.
A personal note from Chamber President Charlene Bridges:
I’m excited about 2014 and again want to express my appreciation for the confidence you have expressed by electing me as your Greater La Vernia Chamber of Commerce president. We have lots of work to do, and it will take all of us working together to make 2014 a success. We have overcome what could have negatively impacted our chamber, but we all pulled together, refined our bylaws and procedures, and have become more united and focused on our goals.
