NASCAR Sprint Cup Series regular David Ragan will make a one-race return to Nationwide Series competition in the season-opening DRIVE4COPD 300 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway on Feb. 22. He'll drive the No. 98 Ford for Biagi-DenBeste Racing.

"This is a pretty solid team with good equipment and a pretty good crew chief in Jon Hanson," Ragan said. "We'll learn a ton this weekend during the test so we can bring a race-winning car back here next month. I'm grateful to Fred Biagi and Bill DenBeste for the opportunity. We're going to have some fum."

The Nationwide Series will hold a test at Daytona on Saturday and Sunday, during which Ragan will drive the No. 98.

The Daytona Nationwide event will mark the 100th-career series start for Ragan. His previous 99 races include two wins, 6 top-fives and 46 top-10 finishes. Ragan is also a two-time race winner at the Sprint Cup level, including a victory at Daytona.

"We are very excited to have David, a three-time superspeedway race winner, in the car for Daytona," car owner Fred Biagi said. "This will be a great beginning for our 2014 season. We know David will help us in the evolution of our race program, and we look forward to working with him."
