On Tuesday, NASCAR unveiled plans for a NASCAR Fan Appreciation Day on Feb. 1. That day, admission to the NASCAR Hall of Fame in uptown Charlotte will be free and several of the sport’s top drivers will be on hand, participating in question-and-answer and autograph sessions.

“Our sport is unique in many ways, starting with our fans -- the most loyal fans in all of sports,” NASCAR Chairman and CEO Brian France said. “Any successes we have start with our fans, which is why we always look for opportunities to give back. NASCAR Fan Appreciation Day is one of those opportunities, with the added benefit of building excitement for the upcoming Daytona 500, thanks to the combination of current and past NASCAR starts coming together.”

While fans will be able to get into the Hall of Fame, free of charge, on a first-come, first-served basis, tickets will be needed for driver autograph sessions. Those tickets are free, though, and may be obtained online at NASCARHall.com.

Current Sprint Cup Series drivers participating in the festivities include Dale Earnhardt Jr., Denny Hamlin and Greg Biffle. Several drivers from the Nationwide and Camping World Truck series will also be on hand. Several Hall of Fame inductees, including Jack Ingram, Dale Jarrett and Maurice Petty -- all to be officially inducted Jan. 30 -- will also participate. For a full event schedule and autograph session ticket ordering information, visit NASCARHall.com
