1956-2014

Richard Dzierzanowski, 57, of St. Hedwig, Texas, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014. He was born on Feb. 7, 1956, in San Antonio to Alex Dzierzanowski and Margaret Rutkowski.

He was preceded in death by his mother; and brother-in-law Ronnie Kosub.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Shirley A. Dzierzanowski; father Alex Dzierzanowski; stepchildren Melvin Burns and wife DeeDee, Curtis Burns, Patty Herbold and husband Gene, and Cheri Crow and husband Kelly; seven stepgrandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; siblings Joyce Stanush and husband Roger, Diane Pawlik and husband Jeff, Janet Gillaspie and husband Kevin, and Shirley J. Dzierzanowski; brother-in-law Melvin “Butch” Friesenhahn; his loving pet, “Chico”; numerous nieces and nephews; and many loving friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 20, from 9-9:30 a.m., with a holy rosary at 9:30 a.m. in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig.

A funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the church, with the Rev. Bill Zadora to officiate.

Interment will follow in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery in St. Hedwig.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
