Gerry and Michelle Waclawczyk of Cestohowa, Texas, are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Amanda Marie, to Jason Anthony Staudt, the son of Robert and Denise Staudt of La Vernia.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of James and Louise Jurgajtis of San Antonio and Otto and Gladys Waclawczyk of Cestohowa.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Jean and retired Lt. Col. Clarence Scheel of Garden Ridge, and the late Joseph and Mary Louise Staudt, formerly of Converse.

Amanda, a 2008 graduate of Poth High School, received her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University-Kingsville in biomedical science and her master’s degree in public health from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2013. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in occupational epidemiology.

Jason, a 2006 graduate of La Vernia High School, is a 2011 graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. He is currently employed as an engineer in training with Rakowitz Engineering and Surveying in Pleasanton.

Jason and Amanda will be married on Saturday, April 26, 2014, in the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Cestohowa, Texas.
