This limited giclee of “H.R. Lefty Block” by former Texas State Artist Jack White is among the art to be featured Saturday, Jan. 18, at Studio C in Floresville, during an artist reception. Meet White and other artists, whose works will be auctioned Feb. 22 to benefit Floresville’s Sacred Heart School during its annual Wine & Art Festival.
Art aficionados and fans are in for a treat Saturday, Jan. 18, as Sacred Heart School in Floresville hosts a reception for artists who will participate in the school’s annual Wine & Art Festival, which takes place in February.
Members of the public can meet artists at Studio C on Paloma Drive in Floresville Saturday from 2-4 p.m. A selection of artworks also will be available for viewing. Light refreshments will be served.
Meet master painter and former Texas State Artist Jack White of Floresville, whose limited original hand-embellished giclee on canvas portrait of H.R. Lefty Block will be auctioned Feb. 22. White’s wife, Mikki Senkarik, a renowned artist whose works are highly collectible, will join him at the reception.
Fellow Floresville artist Monica K. Flores will also attend, along with Alice Titzman, Magali Benavides, Martin Salas, Helen Thein, Laddie J. Nemec, and Linda Downs.
Also participating in the Wine & Art Festival will be James Zollar, James Weaver, Pam Tobias, Connie (Kohni) Armbruster, and Vie Dunn-Harr; they will not attend the Jan. 18 reception, however.
All have contributed items to be auctioned Saturday, Feb. 22, in the Sacred Heart School’s Wine & Art Festival at the Floresville Event Center. Proceeds from this annual event benefit the only Catholic school in Wilson County, serving area families for more than 80 years.
For information or tickets to the festival, call Kristen Weaver at 830-216-4519.
