Welding classes are now available and under way in both Poth and Pleasanton. High school students will receive dual credit. Additionally, welding certification tests will be administered to eligible students. Classes are as follows:

•WLDG2451 -- Welding Multiple Processes: Layout tools, blueprint reading, oxy-fuel gas cutting and welding, SMAW, and more; Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-10 p.m.; CBC Pleasanton Site.

•TECA1191 -- Special Topics in Applied Math: Math for Welders; Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30 p.m.; Poth High School

•WLDG2413 -- Advanced Gas Tungsten Welding; Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-10 p.m.; Poth High School.

Tuition for high school students is between $147 and $180, while tuition for the general public is between $444 and $576.
