Five La Vernia High School students’ artworks were chosen from among 500 entries in the San Antonio Student Western Art Contest for the Top 25, which will be auctioned off for scholarships on Friday, Jan. 30, from 6-9 p.m. in the Briscoe Western Art Museum in downtown San Antonio. They include seniors Reagan Roswell, Shaley Trammell, and Hallie Pace, junior Olivia Hinojosa, and freshman Bria Peters. Entries judged as the Top 25 are auctioned to the highest bidder, with each student receiving a scholarship in the amount of the winning bid (certain restrictions apply). . . .
