Phillip J. Hall
Resting in peace, Phillip J. Hall, born Sept. 27, 1947, in Bellview, Ill., went to be with the Lord Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014. Phil was 66 years old. He struggled and survived with different health issues until cancer won. With a military dad, Phil lived in Japan, Germany, Hawaii, and other inland states, but most of his life was spent in the area of San Antonio, Texas.
Phil enjoyed dancing, fishing, hunting, camping, playing cards, watching the stars, and mowing the lawn. His pride and joy were his nieces and nephews, and he received much joy from playing with his great-nieces and great-nephews. He will be their guardian angel. Phil was godfather to Michelle (Stiefer) Lovering and his godparents were Theresa Warzecha and Michael Stiefer. The family wishes to thank Dr. James Martin, Geneieve, April, and his staff. His life was made more comfortable with Christus Home Care staff, especially Max, Peggy, Nancy, Joanne, Mario, and Tisha.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jewell L. and Geneva Thweatt Hall; father-in-law Frank S. Warzecha Jr.; and brother-in-law Michael W. Stiefer.
Phil is survived by his wife of 34 years, Frances Warzecha Hall; his sisters, Glenda Hendry and husband Bob, and Cynthia Carlson and husband Rob; mother-in-law Theresa Kotara Warzecha; and his in-laws, Terry Douka, Larry and Anita Warzecha, Virginia and Rudy Gallegos, and Barbara and Alfred Nichols. He is also survived by nieces and nephews Sheila and Jeff Schlect (Madisen and Connor), Jimmy and Leina Douka (Alyssa, Tristan, and Logan), Crystal and Trevor Bensema (Trinity), Ricky and Tham Carlson, Alason and Jed Moorhead (Avery), Travis Warzecha, Shayne Gallegos, Theresa Gallegos (Kayla), Matthew and Stephanie Stiefer (Meghan, Emily, and Macie), and Michelle and Jeff Lovering (Alexander and Benjamin); friend and caretaker Bill and Nit Blalock and Barbara Sundquist.
