With concerns over forecasts of a wintery mix of precipitation early Friday morning, Jan. 24, officials with the 36th annual Cowboy Breakfast, the world’s largest cooked breakfast, will extend hours to 4:30-9:30 a.m. in the Cowboys Dancehall parking lot, located at 3030 N.E. Loop 410 at the southwest corner of the intersection with IH 35N in San Antonio.

The serving of food still will begin at 4:30 a.m. and will continue until there is none left.

The unofficial kickoff for the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, the Cowboy Breakfast, sponsored by Jordan Ford, raises funds for scholarships for students in St. Philip’s College’s Culinary Arts Program.

The Cow Chip Contest also will be pushed back, from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.
