Help Wanted

CCSCT, a private non-profit, is seeking a part-time driver (25 hours per week) for its Aging Nutrition Program in Floresville. Applicants must have a HS diploma or equivalent. Prior experience as a driver and bilingual preferred, but not required. Applicant must successfully complete a pre-employment background check, drug test, and motor vehicle check. Applications can be picked up at 1519 3rd St. or can be completed online at www.ccsct.org. Starting pay is $8.46 hour.
The Floresville Independent School District is accepting applications for District Wide Custodian Positions, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. shift. Applications may be obtained online at www.fisd.us or contact Sylvia Campa at 830-393-5300 ext. 14002 for appointments. The burn ban in Wilson County is back in effect, following a decision Jan. 27 by the Wilson County Commissioners Court.

You can call and get permission to burn during a burn ban. I've done so when we've had rain, and the wind was down.

try asking a sheriffs deputy, they don't even know if the burn ban is in effect.. even worse try calling dispatch and getting an officer out to do something about it ...

Edwin Baker of the Wilson County Health and Public Safety Office said that due to today's windy conditions, no agricultural burns are being authorized today. For further information, call 830-393-8503.
