The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) seeks input regarding the implementation of historic legislation creating the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT). The meeting will be held Friday, Jan. 31, from 10 a.m. until noon at the Stephen F. Austin Building, Room 170, located at 1700 N. Congress in Austin.

This discussion is the first of several meetings that the Texas Water Development Board will be hosting related to prospective rulemaking for House Bill 4, 83rd Texas Legislature. At this meeting they will be discussing upcoming work sessions and stakeholder input and focusing on how to define or measure the following items for the purpose of project prioritization:

•What is a “large” population?

•What is a “diverse urban and rural population”?

•What is “regionalization”?

For additional information, contact Kathleen.Ligon@twdb.texas.gov or visit http://www.twdb.texas.gov/swift/.
