The Floresville High School January female student of the month is Lexi Smith, the 18-year-old daughter of Charles and Heather Smith.

Lexi is a member in good standing with the National Honor Society and has been named to the honor roll throughout high school and was recognized for perfect attendance. Last year, Lexi was named the Outstanding Student of the Year for AP Physics.

Lexi is a member of both the cross-country and track teams. As a member of the varsity track team, she earned a district medal for pole vaulting as both a freshman and a sophomore. Last year, Lexi was the pole vaulting district champion and was an area qualifier with a jump of 10 feet. She also earned a district medal as a freshman on the JV cross-country team.

Lexi has served as a volunteer for Elf Louise, a soup kitchen, and her church’s Vacation Bible School program.

She is currently employed as a cashier at H-E-B and as an office assistant at Floresville North Elementary School.

Upon graduation in June, Lexi plans to attend Texas State University, where she will major in business management in hopes of managing her own business one day.

The January male student of the month is Robert Trevino, the 17-year-old son of Robert and Cynthia Trevino.

While attending his freshman and sophomore year at Ellison High School in Killeen, Robert was a member of the varsity cross-country team. He advanced to regionals two years in a row. He also earned a first-place district finish in the 3200 and 1600 meter runs on the Ellison JV track team.

As a junior, Robert moved to Floresville with his father and began an auto detailing business. This past summer, he started a second business with USANA Health Sciences. In his free time, Robert enjoys doing mechanic work, exercising and weightlifting, promoting his business, and spending time with his family.

Upon graduation in June, Robert plans to attend San Antonio College or the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he will major in business administration.
