ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. Compensation is at a rate of $200 per week plus $100 per completed and submitted crisis assessment, and mileage. If interested call Camino Real Community Services, 210-357-0359.

Linda Downs of Floresville, Texas, and Jack and Frances Downs of Gonzales are proud to announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Jennifer Diane, to Matthew David Wimpee, the son of William Wimpee of San Antonio and the late Mary Elizabeth Wimpee.

Jennifer is the granddaughter of Josephine Kast and the late Charles Kast, and Betty Downs and the late Joe Downs.

She is a 2000 graduate of Floresville High School and a 2004 graduate of Southwest Texas State University. Jennifer is employed as a diabetes educator at Diabetes America.

Matthew is the grandson of Audrey Wimpee Tope and the late Robert L. Wimpee Sr., and the late Bernarr and Mary Jane Plummer.

He is a 1997 graduate of Health Careers High School and a 2005 graduate of Baylor University. Matthew is employed with the Department of Defense as an IT project manager.

The couple plan to wed Saturday, March 29, 2014, in the First Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas, with Dr. Bryan Richardson to officiate.
