RUNGE -- Karnes County Sheriff Dwayne Villanueva confirmed that as of 10:06 a.m. Feb. 4, S.H. 72 at the San Antonio River bridge west of Runge is shut down, due to a crash. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.

Radio traffic indicates that at least two tractor trailers were involved and that one of them overturned. At least one injured driver was transported via ambulance by the Karnes County Emergency Medical Services to Otto Kaiser Memorial Hospital in Kenedy.

This is a developing story. The Wilson County News will endeavor to post updates as additional information is made available.
