Offer condolences

Clara Vega of Seguin, Texas, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at the age of 76. She entered this world on March 23, 1937, as a blessing to Rafael and Guadalupe Silva.

Clara was a wonderful wife to Castulo for 52 years and a caring mother to her children, her family said. She was a strong woman of faith in God and an example to her family of God’s unconditional love. Her greatest passion was her grandchildren and family. She will be remembered for her love, laughter, and especially her great heart.

Clara passed away peacefully, surrounded by many whose hearts and lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory and continue her legacy are her husband, Castulo Vega Jr.; two sons, Ruben Zuniga and wife Mary Ann, and Chris Vega and wife Ruth; two daughters, Sandra Wundt and husband Michael, and Judy Gossett and husband Scott; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Clara’s name.
