Alberto “Albert” Martinez passed away in his home on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at the age of 60. He was born March 6, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas. Albert was a beautiful man of God. He is now in paradise.

Albert retired from City Public Service in 2004. His favorite pastimes were riding his Harley with his wife and friends and working in his yard. He will be forever missed.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Julia T. Martinez; and his brother, Manuel Luna.

Albert is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Jan Martinez; his beautiful daughter, Melissa Martinez; his grandchildren, the joys of his life, Gianna, Jon Paul, and Jenevecia; his brother, Jesse Martinez and wife Anita; his sisters, Deborah Trevino and husband Ernest and Sandra Perez and husband David; his mother, Eusebia Luna; his stepdad, Manuel Luna; and his wonderful nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, Feb. 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the Church of Christ in Floresville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Christ, 1204 Third St., Floresville, TX 78114.
