LVISD starts superintendent search process
The La Vernia Independent School District board of trustees has employed Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Executive Search Services to assist with the search for a new superintendent. The board has requested that school personnel and the public be involved in developing the qualifications and characteristics of the person the board should seek to become the new superintendent.
Community involvement meetings will be held Monday, Feb. 10. The TASB search consultant will facilitate discussions with community members. The schedule of these meetings is as follows:
•Noon -- Community session
•1 p.m. -- Adminis-trators session
•2 p.m. -- Support staff
•3 p.m. -- High school students.
All of the above sessions will be held in the La Vernia Support Center Conference Room.
•4 p.m. -- High school and junior high teachers will meet in the high school cafeteria
•4:15 p.m. -- Primary and intermediate teachers will meet in the primary cafeteria
•6:30 p.m. -- Commun-ity session will meet in the high school 500 Building Café.
The La Vernia ISD board president encourages all members of the community to attend and share their thoughts and insights. Even though meetings are designated to specific groups, each meeting is open to any interested person who wishes to attend. If you are not able to attend a session, we encourage you to visit our web page and complete the superintendent survey online.
