Sara and Joseph Canady of Floresville, Texas, are proud to announce the upcoming marriage of their son, Joseph Paul “J.P.” Canady to Sarah Marie Durden, the daughter of Sandra Olivarez Durden of San Antonio and Bruce Allan Durden of Springfield, Mo.

The bride-elect is a 2010 graduate of Lady Bird Johnson High School in San Antonio. She is currently employed with the Texas Sleep Clinic in San Antonio.

The prospective groom is the grandson of LaJuana Newnam-Leus of Floresville and the late Bill Newnam Sr., and Hilda Ann Canady of Panama City, Fla., and the late Joe Pat Canady.

J.P. is a 2008 graduate of Floresville High School and plans to finish his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University-San Antonio in 2015. He is currently employed with Home Depot.

The couple are planning an intimate wedding on Saturday, March 8, 2014, in the Dewees-Remschel House in Wilson County. Pastor Paul Sudolcan, a former youth minister at the First Baptist Church in Floresville, will officiate.
