The Stockdale Garden Club members are few in number, but they do what they can to help out in the community. The members meet on the third Tuesday of the month at the Senior Citizens Community Building, and they welcome new members.

This past year they donated $500 to the Stockdale Museum Fund for repairs and upkeep. They co-hosted the Senior Citizens Luncheon and decorated the Community Building for Christmas -- the tree and all decorations were donated by the club. They also had three trees welded so that they could wrap them in white lights and place them among the watermelons at the entrance to downtown Stockdale. They would like to add to this area next Christmas to make it even brighter.

If you would like to be a part of this organization, call 830-534-3198.
