The Wilson County Car Club will hold a Tamale Social as a kickoff to its 2014 activities on Sunday, Feb. 23, in the Knights of Columbus Hall at 1503 B St. in Floresville. Doors will open at 11 a.m.

The meal, to be served at 1 p.m., will consist of tamales, chili, beans, and side dishes prepared by current members. A business meeting will be held, and annual dues of $25 per couple will be collected.

The club attends local parades, church picnics, car cruises, first Friday at H-E-B, and other community functions. Anyone with an interest in classic or antique vehicles is encouraged to attend.
