Pasture workshop Feb. 25

FLORESVILLE -- The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in Wilson County will present a Pasture Management Workshop Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the Floresville Event Center, located at 600 S.H. 97 West.

Workshop registration will be from 8:30-9 a.m. Five Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will be available for private pesticide license holders.

Topics to be presented include: controlling weeds and insects in pastures; brush control and new chemical recommendations; predator identification and control; Integrated Pest Management; and Texas Department of Agriculture Laws and Regulations.

A follow-up question-and-answer session and workshop evaluations will be from 2:45-3 p.m.

The workshop fee of $30 includes lunch. Attendees must register by Friday, Feb. 21, with the Wilson County AgriLife Extension Office, located at 1420 Third St. in Floresville.
