Magdaleno “Mack” G. Flores, 94, of Stockdale is now home with the Lord. He went on Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, from Stockdale. Mack was born on July 22, 1919, to Romaldo and Crescencia (Garza) Flores in Kendalia, Texas.

He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army, having been actively involved in combat during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Manuela and Maria Flores; brothers Juan, Higinio, and Francisco Flores; and son-in-law Gabriel Chapa.

Mack is survived by his wife, Guadalupe; sons Andrew Flores (LeAnn), Jacob Flores, Julian Flores (Maria), and Juan Flores; daughters Mary Magdalene Sepulveda (Michael), Patricia Ann Vargas (Raul), Nellie Teresa Flores, Guadalupe Stratman (Ronald), Anna Jean Chapa, and Juanita Flores Martinez (Jason); 12 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and brother Trinidad Flores.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 5-8 p.m. with a rosary vigil at 7 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Stockdale.

A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Stockdale, officiated by the Rev. Dennis Jarzombek.

Interment with military honors will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Stockdale.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mack’s name by way of Mass intentions.
