Offer condolences


Garvin Morrison, 86, of Adkins passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014. He was born on July 6, 1927, to James and Ola Morrison in Weston, Texas.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Heart to Heart Hospice of San Antonio for their support and care in his final days. A special thanks of appreciation to Kathy Klar and Casey Ovalle for their care, concern, and help during our time of need.

Garvin was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 63 years, Yvonne Morrison; five brothers, Fred, Frank, Alton, J.L., and John Lewis Morrison; two sisters, Betty Ruth Watson and Eloise Gabbert; and grandson Troy Morrison.

He is survived by his children, Barry Morrison and Kris Crow, Barbara Daffin, Mike Morrison, and Cathy Morrison; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 11 a.m. in the Boldtville Presbyterian Church in San Antonio.

Memorial contributions may be made to Boldtville Presbyterian Church, 6631 New Sulphur Springs Road, San Antonio, TX 78263.
