Sharon Curry is the winner of the Feb. 19 Plant ID contest, correctly identifying agapanthus from the photo. This large bulb plant has straplike leaves and blooms in fireworks clusters; usually blue, it also is available in white. Sharon wins a gift certificate from Fanick’s Nursery in San Antonio.

The Plant ID Contest has been a lead-in to the Wilson County Garden Day this Saturday, March 1, at the Floresville Independent School District Alternative Education Center. Read more about this fun, family-friendly event on page 1B, and plan now to attend!
