Children’s Hospital Trail Ride events March 14-15

The Children’s Hospital Trail Ride, a nonprofit organization, will host its 26th annual Trail Ride set for Friday and Saturday, March 14-15, in Cestohowa.

Registration is Friday from noon to 8 p.m., with camping and food at Cestohowa Hall located at 180 C.R. 245 in Cestohowa.

Saturday’s registration begins at 7 a.m., with rideout at 8:30 a.m. A hay ride will be available for those without horses. If you miss the 8:30 start, you will be able to join at noon (lunch at Cestohowa Hall).

Cost is $30 per adult before March 6 and $35 after that. Children ages 6-12 are $15. Children ages 5 and under are free. Registration includes breakfast, lunch, beverages, supper, and dance. Riders must have proof of negative Coggins test.

Non-riders interested in the dinner and dance can also participate. Dinner will be served from 5-7 p.m. at $8 per plate. A dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. will feature the “Ranch Rock Band.” Admission is $8 per person (12 and under are free).

Live and silent auctions will be held beginning at 6:30 p.m. Auction items may be donated by calling Buck Griffin at 210-421-1494 or Annette Gorzell at 210-365-4058.
