The number of entries was up, just like the temperatures, for the 57th annual La Vernia Livestock and Poultry Show, which began Feb. 27 and concluded March 1 at the La Vernia Chamber of Commerce grounds. This group was spared competing in arctic temperatures, unlike the youth who participated in the Wilson County Junior Livestock & Baked Foods Show in January. . . .
