Lara Feagins, who for almost 1-1/2 years has worked as Floresville’s comptroller, is resigning effective March 18.

In a March 5 resignation letter to the mayor and city council, Feagins did not specify a reason for her departure.

Turner praised Feagins for her help in addressing the city’s financial challenges and said she wished Feagins well in her new position with the city of Shavano Park.

Feagins is the latest high-level city employee to announce her intentions to depart. Former City Secretary Sherry Pollok resigned effective Feb. 7 and Lt. Chad Clark of the Floresville Police Department plans to retire May 30.
