David Reutimann plans to make his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start of the 2014 race season on Sunday, driving the No. 35 Ford for Front Row Motorsports at Bristol Motor Speedway. He’ll be a teammate to David Ragan, driver of the No. 34, and David Gilliland, driver of the No. 38.

“Driving for Front Row Motorsports is a great opportunity with a great organization,” Reutimann said. “I miss being at the track on Sundays, so I’m really looking forward to it. I think it’s pretty cool and can’t wait to get to Bristol.”

Reutimann’s resume includes 11 previous Sprint Cup starts at Bristol. He finished second at the track in 2010. Reutimann’s complete career statistics include two race wins, 12 top-fives and 26 top-10 finishes through 232 races. His last win came in 2010 when he was driving for Michael Waltrip Racing.

With the Bristol race being Reutimann’s season debut, it will mark his introduction to NASCAR new “knockout” qualifying format.

“Qualifying is going to be wild,” Reutimann said. “It’ll be my first time taking a crack at it with this new kockout qualifying procedure. It looks like it’s been pretty eventful at the tracks so far this year, and Bristol is a completely different animal. I’m going to try not to think about it too much -- just get a good lap in that gets the car in the shown and then, hopefully, not have to worry about it anymore.”
