1936-2014

Gwendolyn Hardy, born Aug. 15, 1936, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at the age of 77.

She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her, said her family.

Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph George Hardy Sr.; sons Joseph G. Hardy Jr. and Anthony D. Hardy; sister Bobbie Taylor; and her brother, Dwayne A. Cooley.

She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Stavinoha and husband Johnny and Amy Johnson and husband Christopher; grandchildren Joseph G. Hardy III and wife Stacy, Johnny C. Stavinoha II and wife Geralyn, Crystal G. Stavinoha, Kayla Griffith, Blake Griffith, Joseph Griffith, Gwendolyn Lopez, and Manuel Lopez; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 7, from 5-9 p.m. in the Mission Park Funeral Chapels South in San Antonio, Texas.

A funeral service was held on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home.

Interment followed in the Mission Burial Park South in San Antonio.
