Former Floresville city Councilman Sherry Martinez Castillo will face retired schoolteacher Bonna Reed in Floresville’s May 10 special election. The winner of the contest will serve the remainder of the unexpired Place 1 term vacated in November by former Councilman Jim Miller.

According to Floresville City Manager Henrietta Turner, the women were the only two to file ahead of the 5 p.m. filing deadline Monday, March 10.

Ya know,I find it very interesting that they push Miller out just before they push Joslin on the Event Center Board and then Castillo runs for his seat.Hum..interesting

TOTC...Just because your "POSTAL ADDRESS" says Floreville,doesnt give you the right to vote in Floresville. Just like those people living on Tower Rd with a San Antonio Address don't get to vote in San Antonio elections.

If you do not live "in" Floresville you should not vote in Floresville, if voting in are city elections is so important move inside the city limits.
