June M. Davis Vick passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014, in Floresville at the age of 91 years, 8 months, and 26 days. She was born on June 18, 1922, in San Antonio, Texas, to Roy and Ethel Ada Carson Davis.

June was a former resident of San Antonio and a resident of Floresville for 30 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Vurel A. Vick; grandson Thomas Dylan Vick; and seven sisters and brothers.

June is survived by her children, Eileen Brack and husband Milton of Jasper, Gail Mansfield and husband Lloyd of Floresville, Larry Alton Vick of Houston, Kay Vick and husband Ronald Anderson of Katy, and Philip Vick and wife Donna of San Antonio; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16, at 5 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.

A funeral service was held on Monday at 3 p.m. in the Floresville Church of Christ in Floresville, officiated by Philip Vick.

Interment followed in the Floresville City Cemetery in Floresville.

Serving as pallbearers were Jeremy Watson, Jason Vick, Mark Mansfield, David Brack, Todd Youngblood, Craig Copeland, Paul Vick, and Steven Bransford.

Honorary pallbearers were June’s great-grandsons.
